Who Do You Love?

Who do you love?

If you knew your life on earth was coming to an end and if you only had one thing you were allowed to share to one person on earth, who would that person be and what would you share?

I don’t often think of this question because it is somewhat morbid, but recent events in my life have made me aware that there might come a time in my life when I may only have a moment to share my final words with the one I very deeply care about.

I thought about it a lot today and decided that to the love of my life I would say, “I love you. I love you like I have never loved before.”

Friends, this person who I love so deeply has shown me what true love is.

I love how this person looks at me with admiration, as if I am the most important person in the world, without judgment, without condemnation. I want to spend the rest of my life with this person. Forever could never come too soon. I do not even know if it makes sense, forever never coming too soon. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that I am in love with someone who I want to spend eternity with. Today, tomorrow, forever!

Our love is undeniable, unquenchable, and it cannot be undone.

Friends, what I have described here is a love that I have with someone on earth, and the truth of the matter is that this is the same kind of love that I have for my Heavenly Father and it is the same kind of love that our Heavenly Father has for us.

The Love of Our Father

Scripture is the word, and the word is truth. My friends, I hope that the following scriptures bring forth the knowledge of the love our Father has for you. I hope as you read these scriptures that you come to understand how much you are loved by God in heaven and by the brothers and sisters in Christ that He has placed in your life to love you on earth.

We are saved from our sins. Jesus loves us so much He suffered and died on the cross for us.

Ephesians 2:4-7
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved – and raised up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

1 John 4:7-8
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Romans 5:2-5
Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

We do not have to earn God’s love. God demonstrated His love by His sacrifice of Jesus who died on the cross for us. We do not have to work toward being loved by God. He gives it to us freely.

God’s love is steadfast and unchanging. It comforts us. It is revealed to us through Jesus Christ, It is poured into us through the Holy Spirit. It compels us to love one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.

There is no end to this kind of love. When you have it, you know it, and there is no way you will ever let it end.

Who Do You Love?

As I have asked myself this question, I ask you the same: Who do you love, and what would you say to that person if you had only a moment in time to say it to them?

Well then… go say it to them now while you have the chance.

The Gift of Love

Our Father gives us a gift of love that we can share with someone until we meet Him in Heaven. This kind of love is indescribable. It is a kind of love that is only a smidgen of the measure of the love waiting for us in heaven. You will know it when you receive it and when you receive it you will never want to let it go.

My hope to you, friends, is that you find this kind of love with someone. And when you do find this kind of love, my hope is that you would share this love with others so that they too may feel, through you, an amazingly beautiful kind of unending love.

Today’s Video: Only You Can Love Me This Way

While not a worship song, per se, today’s video speaks to the kind of love we receive from our Heavenly Father. Friends, no one loves us like our Father. His love is deep and lasts for an eternity. May you be loved by the Father in Heaven and may you also have someone on earth who loves you in a way that is worthy of your love in return.

Soulmate Connection — Dating

I discovered this blog post last week and felt so moved by it that I wanted to share it with my readers. It is found on the blog called “Soulmate Connection — Dating.

I hope you enjoy reading it.

Soulmate Connection We know there are magical signs once we meet our soulmates face to face. Expect it to be not ordinary. Imagine a fairy-tale coming alive. Most certainly, there would be sparks flying, butterflies in the stomach, stuttered sentences, ease of communication, physical attractions, love-at-first-sights, answered prayers, love remembered from dreams; in other words, […]

Leave Your Past Behind

Forgiven and made white as snow

Scriptures continually remind us that if we are faithful to God and confess our sins, we are forgiven and cleansed. Our souls are made as white as snow. Our past is no longer relevant. But, sometimes, even when we know the Lord has forgiven us and has told us we are a new being, we (in our inability to put the past behind us) live as if we are still unworthy of the grace the Lord has given us.

I have a young friend who would not go to church because she said she was not good enough to go to such a Holy place. She felt that her sins were too grand for her to simply ask for forgiveness and God would suddenly forgive her without her doing anything for it.

We talked about the sacrifice that Jesus made for us so that if we believe in Him and if we ask Him for forgiveness, He forgives us with no questions asked, no condemnation, and nothing to do but to believe in Him.

When we go to Jesus and ask for forgiveness, He forgives us. It truly is as simple as that. He wipes the slate clean and we are free to go forth in our life as a new person, fresh and clean as if our past did not ever exist.

Still, knowing the truth in Jesus’ love and sacrifice, sometimes we have a tendency to hold on to the past and live with our transgressions as if they still exist.

It is my hope that the following verses will help you to see that when you are forgiven, you no longer have a past. What you have is a new life to live.

Through prayer, you can grow spiritually and do the great things that God has planned for you.

Scriptures About Leaving the Past Behind

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

2 Corinthians 5:17-19
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

Philippians 3:13-14
Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 43:18-19
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

I hope you enjoy today’s video which showcases a song about hope. Leave your past behind. Tell your heart to beat again for the new life you have been given.

Tell Your Heart to Beat Again

Lyrics: Tell Your Heart to Beat Again

You’re shattered
Like you’ve never been before
The life you knew
In a thousand pieces on the floor
And words fall short in times like these
When this world drives you to your knees
You think you’re never gonna get back
To the you that used to be

So tell your heart to beat again
And close your eyes and breathe it in
Let the shadows fall away
Step into the light of grace
Yesterday is a closing door
You don’t live there anymore
Say goodbye to where you’ve been
And tell your heart to beat again

Beginning
Just let that word wash over you
It’s alright now
Love’s healing hands have pulled you through
So get back up, take step one
Leave the darkness, feel the sun
‘Cause your story’s far from over
And your journey’s just begun

So tell your heart to beat again
And close your eyes and breathe it in
Let the shadows fall away
Step into the light of grace
Yesterday is a closing door
You don’t live there anymore
Say goodbye to where you’ve been
And tell your heart to beat again

Let every heartbreak
And every scar
Be a picture that reminds you
Who has carried you this far
‘Cause love sees farther than you ever could
In this moment heaven’s working
Everything for your good

So tell your heart to beat again
And close your eyes and breathe it in
Let the shadows fall away
Step into the light of grace
Yesterday is a closing door
You don’t live there anymore
Say goodbye to where you’ve been
And tell your heart to beat again
Your heart to beat again
Beat again

Oh, so tell your heart to beat again
